Fractured instrument removal Dr Tony Druttman OPMI Pico dental microscope

We have uploaded a video recorded by Dr Tony Druttman using his Carl Zeiss OPMI Pico dental microscope with the integral HD camera. In terms of the procedure:-

Fractured instrument removal:
Symptomatic lower right first molar previously root treated. Radiograph showed apical resorption and the presence of a fractured instrument in one of the mesial canals. The fractured instrument was removed using a combination an ultrasonically energised K file alternating with an EndoSuccess ET 25 tip. The operating microscope was used during the procedure to have total control of the removal of the fractured instrument and to minimise the amount of tooth loss from the canal.
